About
Mim & Mark
Two instructors, one bay, no shop. We'd rather be in the water with you than behind a counter.
Mim
“I've been diving for over 30 years and still get excited every time I'm underwater! I love helping people discover the fun, calm and confidence that comes with exploring the underwater world.”
Mark
“I've been diving for years and still reckon there's no better office than the water! I love sharing a laugh, helping people feel comfortable in the water and showing them why diving is so good fun.”
How we teach
Small: Basic Diver and Scuba Diver are one-to-one, Try Dives and Skills Updates take two people at most, and snorkel trips four. Warm: heated pools for first sessions. Slow: you set the pace and we keep the fun in it. We're both SSI instructors for all recreational courses, and both trained as SSI Classified Diving Instructors — which means we know how to adapt gear, pace and explanations to the person in front of us.

Keeping children safe
We welcome young divers. Try Dives start at age 8 in the pool, and Basic Diver, Scuba Diver and Snorkel trips at 10. Their safety and wellbeing come first, in and out of the water.
Our checks
We both hold NSW Working with Children Checks: Mim WWC2244602E and Mark WWC3049104V. Ask us for the surname and date of birth that go with each number, and you can check them yourself on the Office of the Children's Guardian's online form, or by scanning the QR code on our digital Check in the Service NSW app.
Our commitment
We use the NSW Child Safe Standards as our guide to keeping children safe.
What you can expect
- Whoever makes the booking, a parent or guardian reads our risk warning and signs SSI's paper forms. Children can't sign for themselves.
- We talk with you and your child about what will happen before we start.
- Some teaching and safety needs hands-on help, like fitting gear or steadying a diver. We explain what we're doing first and keep it to what's needed.
- We talk to you, not directly to your child, by phone, text or social media.
- We don't post photos or videos of children unless a parent or guardian has ticked the separate photo box.
- Your child can say stop at any time, and we'll listen.
If you're worried
