Scuba diving and snorkelling carry real risks, including drowning and pressure injuries, even in a pool. They can cause serious injury or death. Please read our risk warning before you book.

How a session goes

Breathe, relax and discover. A Scuba Wellness session is designed around your needs. It’s not so much about learning to scuba as using scuba as a way of disconnecting and finding peace — just by breathing.

We’re both SSI Classified Diving Instructors, trained in adaptive diving, so adjusting the pace, the gear and the way we explain things to the person in front of us is simply how we work. Sessions are flexible and person-centred, with a calm environment and plenty of time to build confidence — whether you live with anxiety, PTSD, autism, ADHD or other individual needs, or simply want a quieter way in.

Start with a chat with Mim. We’ll talk through your needs before you book, to make sure the session is right for you and that we can give you the right support.

What you get: Breathe, relax and discover — a way of disconnecting and finding peace, just by breathing.

Before you book Scuba Wellness

Scuba Wellness is a recreational experience, for relaxation and enjoyment. It isn't therapy. We designed it ourselves: it isn't an SSI program and doesn't lead to an SSI card.

It isn't a medical, mental health or psychological service, and it doesn't replace care from your doctor, psychologist or other health professional. We don't diagnose or treat anything, and we can't promise any particular outcome. Please keep up any treatment or support you already have.

It's still scuba, so it carries the same risks as any dive. Please read our risk warning. Before your session you'll complete a health questionnaire. If you're being treated for anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD or another mental health condition, or you have a condition that needs ongoing care or support (this can include autism or ADHD), you'll probably need a doctor's sign-off before you get in the water.

Talk to us before you book: we'll chat about what you'd like from the session and anything we should know, and work out together whether it's right for you. If you're unsure, check with your doctor or health professional first.

If the person taking part may not be able to understand our risk warning, because of their age or a disability, a parent, guardian or carer must read it for them before the session. For an adult participant, that person must also come with them to the session and be at the briefing. They don't have to watch the session.

Good questions

Before you ask

Do I need any previous diving or snorkelling experience?

Not at all! Many of our experiences are designed for complete beginners. We'll explain everything beforehand and take you through the experience step by step, at a pace you're comfortable with.

What do I need to bring?

Just your swimwear, a towel, a water bottle and a positive attitude! We provide the scuba and snorkelling equipment you need, and we'll let you know if there's anything else to bring for your particular experience.

What happens if I'm nervous or don't feel comfortable in the water?

That's completely okay — and actually one of the reasons we created M&M. There is never any pressure to continue. We'll take our time, explain things clearly and work at your pace. Our private sessions let us adapt the experience to you.

What is the minimum age?

It depends on the experience. Try Dives in the pool and Scuba Wellness sessions are available from 8 years old; for Basic Diver, Scuba Diver and snorkel trips the minimum age is 10, and 12 for a Skills Update. If you're booking for a child, contact us and we'll help you choose the right experience.
