Get ready
Before your session
Three small things happen before the fun. None of them take long.
1. Mim calls you
A quick chat about what to expect, what to bring and where we'll meet. If you have questions — glasses, ears, nerves, a child who's keen — this is the moment.
2. A short questionnaire in the free MySSI app
SSI (the training agency) asks everyone to complete a short fit-to-dive questionnaire and a participation form before any session. You do it in the free MySSI app — search "MySSI" on the App Store or Google Play and create an account; Mim will tell you how to link it to M&M Jervis Bay when she calls. Your answers stay inside SSI's system; we never store them on this website.
Under 18? A parent or guardian signs the paper versions instead (SSI doesn't allow minors to sign digitally). Mim will send them to you, or bring them on the day.
If you answer yes to any medical question, a GP needs to tick it off before we get wet. We'll let you know straight away and work out the next step with you.
3. Bring the easy stuff
- Swimmers, a towel and a warm layer for afterwards
- Sunscreen and water
- Your certification card, if you have one
- Nothing else for a Try Dive or a Wellness session — we bring the gear. For courses, Mim will tell you what's included when she calls
